Sending Your Media

Most Cherish Me projects are handled through our secure postal service. Families from across the UK safely send their tapes, photographs, and other media to us for digitisation and restoration.

We understand these items are often irreplaceable, so every order is handled with care from the moment it arrives.

Step 1 – Get in Touch

Before sending your media, contact us through the website or by email at:

We’ll discuss your project, the formats you have, and the best way to proceed.

Step 2 – Pack Your Media Carefully

Place your tapes, photographs, or media in a sturdy box with padding, such as bubble wrap or paper.

Helpful tips:

  • Wrap fragile items individually

  • Fill the space in the box so items cannot move

  • Include your name and contact details inside the parcel

This helps ensure everything arrives safely.

Step 3 – Send Using Tracked Delivery

We recommend sending media using a tracked postal or courier service, such as:

  • Royal Mail Tracked

  • DPD

  • UPS

  • Parcelforce

Tracking allows both you and us to follow the parcel during delivery.

Step 4 – Your Media Is Logged and Stored Safely

When your media arrives at Cherish Me, it is:

  • Logged and labelled

  • Stored safely while work is carried out

  • Handled individually rather than processed in bulk

This careful approach helps ensure every project receives the attention it deserves.

Step 5 – Digitising and Restoration

Your tapes, photographs, and media are then digitised using professional equipment and workflows designed to preserve the best possible quality of ageing media.

It’s a personal service, so we often stay in touch throughout the process to keep you informed.

Step 6 – Safe Return of Originals

Once your project is complete:

  • Digital files are delivered to you

  • All original media is carefully repackaged

  • Everything is returned using tracked delivery

Your original tapes, photographs, and media are always returned unless otherwise instructed.

A Small Specialist Studio

Cherish Me is a small specialist studio based in Surrey. We have editors in London and the South East, but we do offer a national service. Each project is handled individually with a focus on careful preservation rather than high-volume processing.

Local Drop-Off

For customers in Surrey and nearby areas, local drop-off may be available by arrangement.
